Even with a heightened focus on weight, health and obesity, there is one question that gets ignored: what causes obesity?
There is no simple answer.
When more calories are consumed than he or she can burn, then basically a person becomes obese. Calorie imbalance is what this is called. The factors that cause obesity are varied and many beyond this simple definition.

Environmental Factors Strongly influencing obesity is the environment. Lifestyle behaviors such as what a person eats and level of physical activity is also included here. Causes behind obesity would include the tendency to eat high-fat foods andusing labor saving devices coupled with a sedentary lifestyle.
What are the Psychological Factors? Eating is something a lot of people do when they are bored, angry, or stressed. Becoming firmly fixed over time is the association between an emotion as well as food.
Depression and stress can also lead to obesity and are leading causes of eating disorders. Most overweight people have no more psychological problems than people of average weight and this is shown in some of the studies.
You can also trace most eating disorders to behavioral or psychological difficulties. Having binge eating disorder are about 10% of people who are mildly obese and who also try to lose weight o their own or through commercial weight loss programs. Even more common in people who are severely obese is this particular disorder.
The Effects of Age Slowing down due to advancing age is metabolism. When you get older, it means that you do not require as many calories to maintain your weight as you did when you were younger.
You are in a better position to cope with the life cycles and manage your weight without getting into the problems of obesity if you know about these factors.
